Retail 3.0: Aptos' Mulleavy sisters win prestigious fashion award

 

Aptos natives Kate and Laura Mulleavy have won this year's fashion equivalent of the Academy Award for Best Picture. The sisters, who design in Pasadena under the label Rodarte, won the prestigious Womenswear designer of the year prize for 2009, presented by the Council of Fashion Designers of America last week.
